A community of faith, family, and academic excellence in the heart of Shepherd, Texas.
Call to Calvary Christian Academy was founded in 2021 by Jennifer Greenhaw, pastor of Call to Calvary Ministries in Shepherd, Texas. Driven by a deep conviction that children deserve an education rooted in God's Word, Pastor Greenhaw answered a calling to invest in the next generation — not just academically, but spiritually.
What began as a bold step of faith has grown into a thriving K–12 community where students are known by name, loved by staff, and equipped with both academic excellence and a Biblical foundation that will carry them through life.
We answer a call — a call to Calvary, to the cross, to a life surrendered to Christ. That calling shapes everything we do: how we teach, how we lead, how we love our students, and how we partner with the families God entrusts to our care.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
— Jeremiah 29:11

Our Mission
To provide a Christ-centered, academically excellent education that equips students with the knowledge, character, and faith to glorify God and serve the world — just as God called Pastor Jennifer Greenhaw to do when she founded this school in 2021.
Our Vision
We envision graduates who are confident in their faith, prepared for higher education, and committed to making a difference in their communities and beyond.
Our Values
We are guided by an unwavering commitment to Biblical truth, academic rigor, personal integrity, and a love for every student God places in our care.
There are many schools. There is only one Call to Calvary.
We use the ACE curriculum — an individualized, mastery-based learning system where every student is diagnosed and placed at their exact academic level. No child is pushed ahead before they're ready, and no child is held back.
We believe parents are the primary educators of their children. Our school exists to come alongside families — not replace them. We communicate openly, pray together, and walk this journey as partners.
Scripture isn't a subject — it's the foundation. From math to science to language arts, every lesson is taught through a Biblical worldview that helps students see all of life through the lens of God's truth.
We measure success not just by test scores, but by the character our students develop. Integrity, compassion, perseverance, and servant leadership are as much a part of our curriculum as any academic subject.
Our school is built on these foundational convictions.
We believe in the Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.
We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the salvation of all who believe.
We believe every child is created in the image of God and deserves to be educated with dignity and purpose.
We believe Christian education is a calling — for our staff, our families, and our students.
We believe the local church and the Christian school are partners in raising the next generation for God's glory.
